So I am, as are many of us, eagerly waiting for AP scores to be sent. I am anxious, however, on one of the AP Macro FRQ questions and I am afraid that it will affect my chances at a 5 for the exam. I know I did very well on the MC (probably only 5 questions wrong max) and I also did well on the other two FRQ (the first one included, knowing that that counts the most). However, on one of the FRQ, I made my curve shift in the wrong direction for the first part, and answered all the other parts accurately based on how I made the curve shift. So I was curious: is the grading similar to the math ones where, although points are subtracted for a mistake, any answer that is correct based on the mistake will not make the whole question wrong? I am so nervous about that mistake, because I know that, theoretically, I got the question wrong. However, I am just wondering how holistic the approach to the FRQ grading is for the AP Macro exam. Thanks in advance.

All I know is I incorrectly shifted the curve you are talking about and screwed up the entirety of the third question and still got a 5. I don’t think you have anything to worry about.
