I'm applying to the ivy leagues, and other top rated schools. I usually get all A's (two B+'s in HS) and was wondering how important second semester senior grades? Are all B's fine (this probably won't happen, but just wondering)

The Admissions Committees will be done with their work before your second semester senior year grades are in. Invitations to matriculate are conditional on your continuing to perform at a high level in high school, but Bs will not get your invitation rescinded. You might want to expand your applications to a few schools outside of the Ivies, however.

All B’s would raise an eyebrow, but you won’t get your admissions rescinded if that’s what you mean. It usually takes a few C’s or a D.

to both of you, thanks!

If you get waitlisted (the unthinable), your spring semester grades will be very important. Of course, if you should be so unlucky as not to get admitted to your top schools and want to transfer, then your final semester grades will also matter. The only people who could afford to slack off are people who already got accepted to their ED/EA.

You won’t get your acceptance rescinded with all B’s, but a couple of C’s might attract their attention.

I have to disagree with some of the posters above - IF you are an early acceptance then your mid year grades are not that important. If you are in the regular decision pool, they are just as important as the rest of your grades.
