How important is high school gpa after college?

I heard that on job applications and other applications you have to list your high school gpa. Will hs gpa make a difference? or will employers take mostly into consideration your college gpa? Because right now all my grades are B's (and maybe a C) so I don't know if it's important to raise them ?

its always important to raise your hs gpa, but once you are going to college your h.s. gpa wont matter.

No one will care about hs GPA. If you apply for a Wall street job after college, they may ask your SAT score though.

I assume then that listing it on a resume would be considered pretentious?

Wont it matter for grad school?

Are you serious? Do they really ask for SAT scores? That doesn't make sense...Doesn't CollegeBoard delete score folders after 2 years?

they can pull it out for oyu...and what if you haven't taken the SAT? What happens then?

I don't think you would have to submit official scores. They just ask you. And if you took the ACT or something, just tell them that.

I heard this from a guy who went to Wharton. I was surprised by it too.

Not important.

Hmm, It doesn't seem likely that jobs would weigh high school GPAs.

I have never heard of hs gpa coming up in the context of a job for a college graduate.

After college, for a while, they want your college GPA. Once you have experience, even that is not important.

High school GPA is not needed anywhere after you graduate unless you apply for a transfer before completing college Sophomore year. This is the only reason to keep up high school GPA.
As far as SAT scores, I heard Google at one time did ask for SAT scores before they interview you.

No one cares about your h.s. gpa after about freshman year in college.

Yes, when you go to college, it's basically a clean slate.

I don't think that grad schools even care whether you got a h.s. diploma. They care about your college degree and achievements.

:/ too bad they don't look for pre second/last semester gpa. But yeah I guess I shouldn't worry too much about it .. hopefully i don't decide to transfer anywhere. thanks for all the responses! i can can now more relaxedly enjoy the rest of senior year, although right now i have to knuckle down and study for aps TT

LOL -- even GRADUATE SCHOOL grades aren't important if you excell on the job.

just dont fail
