My GPA has fallen since I applied and was accepted to Cockrell--not just from senioritis (okay, I admit that is a factor) but mostly because my schedule is superhard (5 AP classes, including second year Calc. and Physics, plus 2 eng. classes). How serious is the possibility of having my admission withdrawn?

I don’t think it’s likely basically they want it to see if you’ve graduated and passed all your classes. Just don’t get arrested and graduate and you’ll be fine.

@pinkpanther32: Thanks.

I am in the same boat as you 3 actual AP classes and one ****ing hard government class with an English seminar that is admittedly pretty easy. I did fine in physics and calc first semester but that stuff is getting hard. I have a C- in calc and either a D or an F in physics because our only grades have been 2 tests that I did poorly on.

From the research I gathered, one D and a few Cs are fine. I’m just scared of getting an F, but I think my EA can get it wiped off of my transcript because I’ve already completed everything I need to graduate. I’m getting kind of scared about this.

I swear I thought I was the only one wondering about this question.
I got accepted into Cockrell for Civil Engineering & my Calculus & Chemistry classes are like the lowest grades I have on my transcript! They are passing, just not where I want them to be like the other grades UT saw when I sent them my first transcript.

My classes just have A LOT going on in them now. haha.

Yeah I’m in all IB (harder than AP and more demanding) and it’s a huge ***** right now to get all this stuff done. We got grades today and it was not pretty for any of us. I think all us seniors are in the same position.

As long as you graduate and don’t fail too many of your classes then you should be fine. I dropped from calc bc to calc ab second semester of senior year and ended up failing the final exam with a 55 and barely passing the class with a 70. UT didn’t do anything.

lmao @ ib
