How important is the Harvard Interview?

I just completed my Harvard Interview today and I feeling pretty good about it. But I wanted to know exactly how important is the Harvard Interview and can it make a difference in the admissions review process.

I have been told by an alumni interviewer that it doesn’t carry much weight. Some people are not interviewed, and it is not held against them. I suppose that if the interviewer had a strongly negative impression, that was justifiable (person spouted racist ideology), then it might negatively affect one’s application.
