I know Tufts says they will cover 100% of need, but what have people found?

Do they put a lot of loans in the package?

Are they especially or good overall? How about when it comes to negotiating packages?

Any information would be most appreciated.

It’s not great. They go by the financial aid formula. You can plug in the numbers and see what you’ll get. Out of all the schools my son applied to he got the least from Tufts. We tried to negotiate but got nowhere. They basically said they’re following the formula regardless of which part of the country you leave in and what your expanses are. So for example if your family income is $150,000 and you leave in Oklahoma you’re much better off then if you leave in New York City with the same income. But that’s the problem with all the schools, not just Tufts. They really should take that info into account. Because leaving in NYC with 2 kids on $150,000 before taxes is basically poverty level. Lol

For me it was the opposite, Tufts gave the most out the other six schools I got accepted to. It was actually cheaper for me to go to Tufts than in-state.
