Is the class easy to pull off an A? How is it compared to other writing programs?

It’s easier than Scholar’s Seminar.

If you’re taking it for Warren GE’s, it’s easier than Warren Writing.

It’s just a class on controversial topics such as abortion, animal rights, etc. You learn about the different arguments made by philosophers such as Kant, Mills, etc.

I thought the class was easy, but it really depends on your TA because some TAs are harder in grading than others.

Actually, that’s not necessarily the case. At least for my class, the professor made all of the TAs stack rank the papers and so the top third would get As, the next third would get Bs, and the rest would get Cs, Ds, or Fs. So regardless of how hard the TA grades, assuming a similar distribution of good writers and bad writers in every class, the grades will be the same.
