How is SU Pre Med Undergraduate

How is SU pre Med for Undergraduate compared to other's in the NY area???? What are the best in NY????

Cornell University and SUNY Binghamton do a good job at getting students into med school, although Cornell is tough. I haven’t looked at statistics in a couple of years but when I was applying to schools, SUNY ESF had better admittance rates to med school than SU. I don’t know how much of that is actually attributable to the schools, though. I think medical school acceptance is really based on how hard you want it, your grades, and what you can do personally to show admissions committees that you are serious about medicine. I’d pick a school you feel comfortable at, study something you are interested in, and take the necessary pre-med classes. I’ve heard some schools (like the University of Rochester) will give a slight preference to undergraduates who apply to their med schools. Not sure if that’s true…

Yea, I’m just keeping my options open if I do not get accepted into Pitt. My 2nd option would be Duquesne University here. Instead of Duquesne I might be looking at better pre med undergraduate out of state schools for pre med?? Tough decision to go Duquesne or better out of state school with solid pre med program if I do not get into Main choice Pitt.
