How is taking these three AP's

I'm will be taking my next senior year AP calculus AB or BC ( I still didn't decide) and AP physics B and AP comparative governemnt and politics. I'm also taking honors accounting and Forensic Science. Do I take a fourth AP replacing accounting or not. Give me your opinions. I need a lot of responses to take the right decision.

Pls give responses and opinions. Your not losing anything

I think if you are planning to do something in college to do with accounting, then definately keep the accounting class. I would probably drop forensic science and take an AP class. (Unless you want to do something in forensic science).

If you did well in Pre-calc, like you learned polars and vectors properly (unlike me) then take Calc BC, if you didn’t do so hot, Calc AB.

If you’re school offers it, and if you havn’t taken it already, for your fourth AP consider taking AP Macro/Micro econ. I think its a good class, I took it as a junior very fun.

@dragooner, I’m thinking of taking AP chemistry not AP economics. I’m going to take an engineering major probably electronics, mechanical, or mechatronics.

Pls give me more responses. I really need help and would be grateful of helping others for their help in return. Thx

Don’t take both AP Physics and AP Chemistry at the same time. That’s too much. I second dragooner; I think AP Econ would be a good fourth AP class. It’s respectable, but not too hard. Plus, it’s sort-of-kind-of in the same field as Accounting, what you’d be replacing.

But the AP physics I finished 50% of it last year and I took honors chemistry also last year so I basically finished 20 percent from the AP chemistry.

Give me more opinions

AP Physics B is alright with AP Chemistry because Physics B is basically algebra-based like AP Chem. Now both AP Physics C exams with AP Chem is downright brutal and you should wait it out if that were the case. Your schedule is fine. I took 4 as a junior and 6 as a senior so you shouldn’t worry too much.

I’d drop forensic science for AP chem.

I’m thinking of dropping Accounting and taking Forensic science as it is very interesting. What do you think. Do I drop forensic science or accounting for AP chemistry

Drop forensic science. Crunching numbers seems to be more engineering related

I don’t see anything wrong with taking Forensic Science instead of Accounting. If you think that Forensic Science sounds more fun, go ahead and take it! You are going to be taking AP Chemistry, AP Physics, and AP Calc - all great courses for the field that you want to go in. Colleges can’t knock you because you decided to take an elective. As long as you apply yourself and get decent grades in all of your classes, I don’t see any reason why you will be any worse off in the application process.

Definitely take Calc BC, getting a credit in that class is one of the most valuable AP classes you take in IMO. AP physics B is really mathematics oriented, formulas, formulas, plugging in,

Chemistry I feel is more concept oriented. You got to understand the concepts, and the math is much simpler.

Thx everyone. I decided to take 4 AP next year. I will take AP Physics B, Calculus BC, Chemistry(I’m scared the new exam would be difficult) and comparative government and politics)

I would double-check with your most recent math teacher about recommendations on taking Calc AB vs BC. That would be the person who knows you best and can provide more insight to you as to which course is more appropriate to your current mastery of the material presented to date.

@himom, I finished 80% of the AP calculus AB last year. I’m thinking of taking just AP AB because I would have a lot of time to practice. I want to get 4 and 5 in the 4 AP’s

It’s doable. I took three my junior year and was fine. I know someone who took physics and chem at once and he was fine. Although magnetism in physics through him a loop and they were the only two he was taking. You should be able to do it though, especially as a senior

Thx. More views pls

I don’t think that 4 AP’s is a lot
