I am a senior in High School looking to transfer to High Point University after one year of community college. I have a few questions. How hard is it to get into High Point as a transfer student? how is the biology program? Also has anyone went to Medical School from High Point University? and how is the school over all?

Yes, students from HPU are in med school. My D is currently a bio major (BS, not BA) and in the midst of an MCAT course. She is getting in all of her med school requirements at HPU. She is very proactive in her education.

Thank you so much for that information could you tell me about how the school is over all?

@luckydog I forgot I have to mention names in comments lol but Thank you so much for that information could you tell me about how the school is over all?

Hi Teenie18, our D who is pre-med looked at HPU last year. The pre-med adviser told us that in the previous graduating class they only had 3 students apply to medical school and one was accepted. Those seemed like very low numbers considering this is a school with 4,000 students, so she decided to look at other schools.

As I said in previous posts, med school is highly competitive and 1 accepted out of 3 is actually very good.
