I just got accepted and ill probably visting. But i was just wondering what the general feel of the campus and dorms are?

beautiful campus. pretty social dorms.

i visited on thursday. I really like the campus. most of the buildings are georgian and it reminded me of UVA's campus (albeit a little dirtier). The central green is amazing; its like the perfect college postcard. The town of Newark is right next to the campus. Its similar to a lot of other collegetowns ive been to (Blacksburg (VT), State College (PSU), Fairfax (GMU), etc). I visited Trabant Student Center and really like the mall food court feel it has. Theres even a chickfila and taco bell. The frosh dorms are typical small and crappy but whatever. Its also annoying that you need a key for ur room, a card to get in your dorm, and the flex meal pay card. at most other colleges its all-in-1. The people i saw looked happy and friendly, but maybe im nieve. There were a good amount of attractive girls, but it was weird because a lot of them were really tall (as in 6ft+). many people bike and there are always cars circling campus. Anyway i got a pretty good vibe from the place even though i was only there for 5 hours or so. not sure if im going yet but i think i would be happy there

oh and apparently the newark police are dicks when it comes to underage drinking and parking tickets.

Campus:

A citation in the Princeton Review once referred to the UD campus as absolutely the most gorgeous anywhere, and a 2007 Washington Post story noted, with its elegant, elongated Green, [UD] is a stunning landscape of Georgian Colonial red-brick, white-columned architecture to rival anything conceived by Thomas Jefferson.

Dorms:

They vary from older dorms with typical rooms to brand new really nice dorms. As a freshman, you can be put in either the old or the new. This year my son was in an older dorm (Russell). Friends who visited from Rutgers thought it was big.
