<p>Merit scholarships and financial aid for transfers are practically rumors or fairy tales. Don’t expect to get much or anything substantial.</p>
<p>I transferred to NYU last year. Lower middle class, three siblings attending other universities, high transfer GPA. They gave me 10k, and you can’t appeal for more aid until your second year (Where they only gave me an extra $1k. Better than nothing, I suppose).
If NYU is giving anyone decent financial aid packages, it’s definitely not to the students that need it the most.</p>
