Well, I'm a prospective transfer student, and I'm just wondering how the transfer need-based aid is at USC.

Thank you!

Someone asked a similar question recently: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/821124-how-uscs-non-merit-financial-aid.html

Transfers get the same aid as if they started as freshmen at USC. Be sure to meet all deadlines.

I guess people must work the system well, bc my bf and a friend (both transfers) got lousy financial aid this year. My bf is piling up loans & debt already & his fam doesn’t even make that much $$… I’m worried about if I go there next year what I’m going to do…

For those who do not qualify for financial aid, there are many lower-cost options to consider. For in-state students, the UCs cost about 1/2 as much as USC, and the CSUs cost about 1/3 as much.
