So my question is....how can I improve this to a 2200+???? No matter how much I try (I've done the first 5 BB tests), I'm stuck at this score. I always get one or two wrong on writing and math....how do you fix this. I have until Oct. 1. Anyone else in the same situation?

I’m in the same situation as you, believe it or not. My problem seems to be that sometimes I rush too much through the problems, making a careless mistake that costs me an 800 on the respectively.

Honestly, you have to accept that no one is perfect and that no one can guarantee an 800 on test day. Nevertheless, you should still attempt to get the score, though you should also realize that sometimes getting the 800 comes down to sheer luck.

Anyway, perhaps you’d be better off practicing on Critical Reading to improve your score to 2200+?

I pretty much fail at critical reading as well–my goal is trying to cut down my mistakes under 10 to ensure I get a 670+ (i’ve never been a life-long reader )

Try and identify where your errors are appearing in CR. If it’s in sentence completion memorize vocab. If it’s in the later sentence completion with two words you can also try and eliminate more answers to give you a better chance of guessing correctly.

If it’s in the passages, determine which type of passage gives you problems. Skip the inference questions and do one’s related directly to the passage so you don’t waste time.

Bottom line - you need to analyze your results to ask for help.

I think you have a better chance of pulling up writing than math. It’s hard to prevent those careless mistakes in math without enough time to review every question.

What are you missing in Writing? I’d look at those sections and see if there is a pattern. No errors? Ambiguous pronouns? Etc. You should be able to learn something from your mistakes to avoid the same ones again.
