I got into the Honors College and was wondering if it is actually beneficial for the pre-med track or if it just adds a bunch of requirements that will not really help me out in any way?
Depends on what honors college, IIRC RU has honors college based on schools, SAS, SEBS, Business…
Being in the honors college adds extra opportunities such as summer internships and more research opportunities for premeds as well as more advising. However, it does add small requirements such as 30 hours of volunteering by junior year. Also, the forum class (80% of the class gets As) and a byrne (a 1 credit p/f class that is no work) and an interdis seminar(the amount of work depends on the class you pick but it’s usually low stress )
