@Collegemom102 My S applied and was accepted but ultimately decided on the state flagship. He is a Fine Arts major and we were impressed with all of the arts at Conn. Dance and Fine Arts are strong, but with the Eugene O’Neill Theatre close by I would imagine that theatre is quite strong. Conn would be quite competitive with the other schools you mentioned, but possibly an easier admit since it does not get as much love and attention as those other schools. You did not mention but another one to consider would be Wesleyan. Much less competitive, but with from what we heard strong arts programs would be Drew University.
I’d say that Vassar, Skidmore and Conn could be considered to be roughly equal in this group.
