I was just filling out a scholarship application today that required me to write my courses/grades into their form, so I was up close and personal with my transcript and I noticed that there were errors on it for my senior year courses. I took AP Micro and AP Gov last semester (those were correct) and I'm taking AP Macro and AP Psych this semester, but on my transcript for the second semester I had Micro and Gov listed again, like they were year long courses. Also, Gov was written twice for some reason. I immediately talked to my GC and he said that unfortunately that is the one that probably got sent to colleges, so we fixed it and got it faxed to the schools that haven't made admissions decisions yet along with a short letter of explanation. I realize that they've likely already made a decision on my file, so the old transcript is what they believe is true so my question is, do you think that these errors will affect my chances much or at all? As it was before I changed it, it looked like I was taking AP Micro and AP Government year long, rather than those two for one semester and AP Macro and AP Psych for the other. Do you think that this discrepancy is going to change anything? I'm really nervous that this is going to really put me at a disadvantage, I'm so ****ed that I didn't catch it. Also, would it be advisable to have my GC call and explain? He's somewhat incompetent so I'm not sure how much a call from him would help, but... :)

Since both combinations are rigorous, it shouldn't be too detrimental. It's a good thing you caught it and consulted your GC.

Dude, chill. Breathe....fill your lungs with the gases of the atmosphere, now let them out again. That error is incredibly insignificant. I bet your admissions officer glanced over that schedule and hardly registered it; the essay, scores, ecs, etc. are what they would prefer to focus on. Don't have your GC call. They're swamped and touchy as it is. Have faith.

at least u got to see your transcript. my counselor didn't allow me to check until AFTER they were sent, in which i found they calculated my GPA wrong and it's still wrong....i just don't care anymore.
