University life for an incoming freshman seems so exciting, and it seems like there are tons of ways to help freshmen ease into the university life. I wish I did better in high school so I could've went straight into a university, but I messed up and now I'm trying to pick myself back up in community college. I want to transfer to a top UC like UCLA. However, by the time I transfer I'll be around 23-24. I was just wondering if university life will be just as exciting for a transfer as it is for a freshman. I have a feeling I'll be that lost "old" guy that's just there to get his degree and that's it.

It’s what you make of it

I am in a similar boat, my parents took my college funding so I ended up enlisting…so when I get back to college I will be 21 or 22.

Any others that went through the community college route?

^Look around the transfer forum. There are many threads about people who transfered from CC to some really good colleges. You could also post this thread there.

Look for other threads on this. I’ve answered this question dozens of time and am getting tired of typing the same thing over and over.
