I want to attend the Honors college, but I haven't sent my application in yet. I plan to next week. I know that the deadline is in March, but that it is on a "first-come, first serve basis". Only 500 kids get accepted, right? I know of several people who already were accepted, so now I'm seriously worrying that I won't have a chance at getting in! Anyone know the latest they still send out acceptances?

They still do send out acceptances all the way until the very end. It just gets tougher once you get closer to that deadline because people are really fighting for those last spots. I applied in January and got accepted in February of 09 back when I was a senior in high school. But don’t worry about them running out of spots. It’s not that they only accept 500 students, they only allow 500 to enroll to be more precise. They will probably accept more than 500 because not everyone who gets in will attend UCF. A student only takes up one of those 500 spots if after they get accepted they reply to the Honors College and pay their one-time Honors Congress dues. Hope this helps.

The honors acceptances come early; my brother has already been accepted (I probably would be if I had applied). It is true that it is more competitive towards the end. It is not impossible to get in later, but I highly recommend mailing in the application ASAP.
