How long does acceptance run?

For example, if I am accepted to University A and B, But I attend university A for a year..
After that school year could I enroll in University B without going through thee whole admissions process again?

You would have had to have told them you would be deferring your acceptance for a year when you turned them down. And now you would be a transfer, so the process isn’t exactly the same.

As far as I know, if you defer an acceptance for a year, you can’t use that year to enroll in another college. If you want to start at another college, then you’ll need to re-apply to the one you “deferred.” And as ATLs said, you’ll be applying as a transfer student, submitting your college transcript and competing for a much smaller number of openings… and the merit scholarships you were offered usually won’t be available either, since those are only offered to incoming freshmen.

So much for using that full-ride state safety as a fallback after trying out the pricey, selective private college with the super-tough curriculum… :D
