On the ACT site it says it can take 5-8 weeks for colleges to receive your score. I am planning to take ACT on December 13. But most of the colleges I am applying to have score reporting deadlines at early January. All the colleges say they will accept the December scores, but if it takes that long for colleges to receive the ACT scores, is it okay to send December scores right after I take the test?

I'm wondering the same thing

yeah.. bump

are you sure that applies if you send your test scores electronically?

I am not sure.. the site does not specify. I just assumed it was electronic.

You can pay extra and have them send the scores in a couple of days.

You sure about that? And how long does it usually take for ACT scores to be avaliable online? If it takes like couple weeks, then it will be like end of december when scores come out, but the deadline for score reporting for most of my schools is end of december or start of January.

Scores are available in a couple of weeks online (but not the writing portion). Once they're online, you can have them sent from ACT which you can expedite for a few more dollars. You'll be cutting it close.

Will they make it in time? I don't mind paying a few more dollars as long as my schools get the scores before the deadline. I will be taking the Dec. 13 ACT, but my colleges have to receive score reports before Dec 31.

bump.......

I guess no one knows?

What if you sent the scores directly when you filled in the registration packet? When will the schools receive the scores then?
