How long does it take to send ACT priority report to a university?

If I request an ACT priority report with a call to ACT, is it e-mailed within a day or so or does it take longer? The report is already on file. I'm trying to beat a deadline. Thanks!

According to their web site:

Priority Report (only to locations within the U.S.)
Normally processed within two working days after ACT receives your request and usually delivered three to four business days later.

I say request it ASAP.

Most colleges will take days to weeks to process those scores into their systems anyway.

Good luck!

What deadline are you trying to beat and which school. I ask because in 99% of the times it is not necessary to rush a score and sending regular delivery is fine. For example, let’s assume you have a Nov 30 application deadline. In all cases I know of with such a deadline, the scores can arrive after the deadline and if you order them sent regular delivery by the deadline you are fine.

This is for the Macaulay Honors College at Brooklyn College. My son wants to major in cello performance and made a good contact this weekend, hence the late application. This is what their site says:

You must take either the SAT or ACT exam and have your scores sent electronically using the College Board website before the application deadline. The application deadline is Dec. 1.

I didn’t know if I called ACT tomorrow first thing whether they could electronically get the scores by Dec. 1. I assumed the deadline was pretty cut and dry. Your thoughts?

Thanks so much for your time - much appreciated!

Since it is unclear, go ahead and rush but usually when a school says send by application deadline that means it can be ordered sent before app deadline and is good as long as it arrives within first two to three weeks after deadline.

Thanks for the info. It’s been a long time since I’ve been through this. I think it was much simpler way back when. I’ll send it rush just in case.
