I'm not finished with mine yet..but its going to be around 650 words...what about you guys

Make sure it fits on the page if your doing the online application.

477 so far, if I decide to use this one...

What do you mean makes sure it fits on the page?

Mines was a bit long so it was transferred to another page on the app. Is this okay? Im referring to the Online Print/Preview view of my essay

420, if I decide to use it.

mine ended up being 605...and it all fits on that page...so is it all good?

300 yay!

My unedited version was at 900+!!! but I've gotten it down to under 700, and I'm still scraping away.

499
it just ended up that way after some editing, im taking it as a good sign

497 but not sure if i'll use it

already sent to one school.

i thought that the essay couldn't be more than 500 words....

yeah thats like the desired limit haha. The rule I hear is +/- 10%

Mine is 534 with only minor editing. So final copy (if I use it, not so sure) will be 490-520. :)

Can somebody answer my question pls?

470 something. I had gone over, but then I cut out superfluous stuff to get it to 500 and it somehow dipped wayyy below. I had to struggle to bring it up again! That was weird.

agrophobic when you print/preview some of it might not show on the page, I believe. I didn't know you could transfer it to another page.

I have yet to reach that stage however.

The limit is really there so kids don't write a 10 page paper. I know of a kid who wrote 700 and a college mailed him a personalized letter saying how wonderful his essay was.

mine was around 650 when i finished (but i was consciously trying to end it), now I've cut it down to almost 600. i dunno, hope that's okay...

Mine so far is 640 and Im trying hard to decrease it to about 600.
