The application says 2-3 pages double spaced but mine is at 550 words and a bit under 2 pages double spaced. How long are yours?

mine’s 4-5 pages and 950(?) words. Mine has dialogue hence much spacing.
My advice is to play with it. Add humor and other interesting elements.

Same length as mine (BlizzaP)! And I’m fairly happy with it, so yeah

500-600 is always the target length for college essays in my opinion

Mine was almost two pages. And it was difficult for me to even get it that long. I think whenever it feels complete you should let it be. Forcing it won’t read well anyway.

550 words is a good length. As ROHopeful says, end it when it needs to end. They want content not size. The words etc are merely guidelines.

That being said, stay away from 1000 words if possible.

shoot I have 700 words, it probably needs to be shorter but with Georgia font it is only barely over two pages, which is why I thought it was not even that long. Oh well

700 will be fine. Don’t worry about the length as long as the content supports it.

Yeah mine is currently 505 words because I cut it down a lot, then realized it is not 2 pages double spaced. Mine is like 1 3/4 pages double spaced and I don’t know whether I should add more to it or not.

Once again, does it need more words? if the answer is NO, then leave it. Don’t be verbose for the sake of adding length.

i double Antarius…mine is around 850 words, but i think i need those extra words to bring my point to the paper…remember, the idea is always more important than the number of words

3 pgs. double spaced.

500 words. was 770, but i trimmed and trimmed since so many schools asked to keep it to around 500.

turns out the 500 word version makes a stronger impact, is to the point, and is about 1.5 pages…so the visual impression is not cumbersome and going on and on and on for pages…i bet they don’t want to read lots of singles paced pages any more than we do in school. especially if they’re reading late at night!

it doesn’t look long, but it punches and is done. clean.
