How long should the 'basic' essay be?

BU is asking for another essay, by writing:
“Please use this space if you have additional information, materials, or writing samples you would like us to consider”.

I’m guessing that’s what they mean, as the other prompt can only be up to 250 words long, and is the typical “Why BU?” kind of deal.
Currently mine is about 700 words…I think I should shorten it…

That sounds like a very optional supplement. I probably wouldn’t write anything new for it.

Hm, that seems to be the only place I can actually write my personal essay…so, should I not submit one as a transfer? I figured they’d still like to hear more from me.
