Have you been logging in? Rutgers does this all online - no mailed letters.

Yes, check online all the time. Just says “in process.” Applied to 3 different schools and 6 majors, so thought would at least get one answer. My friend is a guidance counselor and actually went to Rutgers to check on her stats with the two admissions people she knows personally there, wrote an extra LOR for my D, and tried to get an idea of what’s going on. They just say…well she hasnt been rejected.

Kinda puts a damper on her desire to attend. Feels like such a number. My D applied the first day possible because tour guide said “show your interest! apply early and get an answer early…typically respond by 8 weeks.” But everyone but her keeps getting answers in a few days/weeks while hers just sits there.

When we emailed about it, received a copy/paste from the website about deadlines. Rutgers didnt even read her email (because it said we know deadlines…was just checking to make sure we had everything done correctly and there is no glitches). When she responded to that email saying thank you, we know deadlines for receipt of app…our question is…, they just copied and pasted the same thing again!

It would have been nice to at least put a “Hello applicant,” we are happy you decided to apply…or something human.

Every other large school she applied to have answered her emails of questions with “human” responses. We are in state…we would have hoped to have received some sort of humanity from our own university. Oh well :)

Sorry…ranting a bit.

I think it’s just random. I applied 3 weeks ago with a 2090 SAT and I still haven’t heard anything, whereas some of my classmates with similar and even lesser scores applied later than I did and they received acceptances after a week or so.

Rutgers has a twitter that they seem to answer.

Yeah i applied a month ago and still have not heard back and starting to get worried, rutgers is my number 1 choice.

I applied to rutgers newark as well as rutgers new brunswick before the nov. 1st deadline. I got a reply from newark quickly and got accepted. but nothing yet from new brunswick. i wonder why so long?

Right now, the Rutgers NB admissions office is deluged with applications. Whenever a deadline is due, early admissions, financial aid, housing, etc etc, and things pile up, the respective office involved will be relatively unresponsive. There are just so many people wanting answers. So they will default to ‘leave a voice mail’ or standard cut and paste email answers. This is normal.

Do not think you won’t get in because your friend applied after you, and got notified first. It happens. As long as your Rutgers Student Status page shows you as being complete, you are fine. Most of the people who post on here that they are worried, end up getting in.

Accepted SAS NB last night after 11pm. Application submitted 10/8
