By the time i apply to Harvard, I'll only have 7 AP classes and 6 AP exam scores (i cancelled world history).

How many does like Harvard want?

it doesnt matter....take the most out of your high school and that's all that matters. if you're not taking the most APs possible at your high school, then start worrying. honest--my college counselor is also an admissions officer at duke and she says that for the top schools, you need to just have the hardest courseload at your school. if that means 3 APs, so be it.
i personally was very worried about this, but a friend of mine from my school took only 6 APs by grad and is at yale. i'm taking 11 by grad.

how's it possible to take 11 by grad?

each school is different...my school offers more but it is really only possible to take 7-8

uhh, i had 0 AP exams by the time i applied and was accepted to harvard. it really depends on your high school.

My school doesn't allow underclassmen to take AP's, so I had to cram them all during Junior and Senior year

yeah squiggle's post makes the most sense: it depends on your high school situation. if your high school offers 0 then don't worry about it, just do your best with what you have, harvard isn't going to wonder why you didn't take 11 APs like that other kid. if your high school does offer a few you should consider taking them. i doubt squiggle went to a high school which offered dozens of AP classes to choose from (correct me if i'm wrong)
