I'm the only one applying.

I'm the only one applying EA, but I expect around 3 - 4 for RD.

I go to arguably the best school in the midwest and we're located 30 minutes from Chicago so we have a crazy amount of people apply each year. I know that last year we had at least 90 apply, and at least 60 got in. I think about 25 ended up going.

at least 5 that i know of for sure...but probably more like 15 or so in the end. however, most of them will be applying regular

I'm the only one for EA or RD. (I'm doing EA.) I've never heard of anyone from my (small) school applying.

I doubt anyone's heard of Chicago in my school. 332 kids, and maybe 20 of them are looking at private colleges. Take out the 10-15 for MIT and Case, and I'm pretty sure no one else is applying.

Off the top of my head...4, including me. I know there are more though.

fantosme- what school do you go to? My school is also near Chicago and sent over 20 to UChicago last year.

atleast three ea, and six or seven rd i think out of 430. from last years class, i think two or three ended up going.

It seems like a KAJILLION are applying from my school EA, but I think it's actually around 10-ish.

Which is weird because usually, only about five students apply. It's like...as soon as I go to their summer program and express extreme interest, everyone and their mom's applying. This makes me nervous because it's MORE COMPETITION.

gudfisl;fjdsakl;

Can you tell that I'm freaking out?

No one at my school has ever heard of Chicago. I pity them.

I am the only one from my school appying to U of C. No one at my school knows about U of C. Their lose not mine.

Haha, no offense, but I see so many errors on these boards, myself included. I think it's funny how these are the highest caliber students in the world and we all seem to make stupid grammatical errors.

i think 3, including me
one may be recruited for track (he is 41/449 and 2290), and one is being recruited for lacrosse (she is 69/449, around 1950)

So i am the only non recruited athlete applying from my school

just me out of 411

I go to a slightly above average public suburban school, about 1.5 hours away from U of Chicago--I know of at least 10 people (maybe more), at least three of whom are applying EA (including me). My class has 400+ people, though I think this might be the most people in a class to apply to Chicago in our school's recent history

this year across two campuses in my district i know of upwards of 13 just for EA alone, and i live in TEXAS. arghhhh.

usually everyone applies to northwestern and like 1 or 2 people apply to u of c. i dunno what happend this year, but i'm screwed.
