No, it’s wrong to take AP classes to attempt to look impressive and pretend that you actually want to learn something. Too bad that’s what many people are doing.

five! physics, AB calc, Lit, french language, and psychology
as for EC’s i’m in multiple orchestras and I play tennis year round. All of this and 8+ supplements should make for a fun year…

AP Statistics (could have taken Multivariable as well, but my experience in Calc BC has been horrible)

AP Calculus AB
AP English Literature

I only take APs that I care about. I love literature and writing. I enjoy reading books and creating essays. I took those two because I legitimately enjoy the challenge.

History is one of my passions, which is why I took APUSH. Honors would have been nothing short of extremely boring. Looking back, I sort of wish I had taken AP World as well. And since I plan to major in Political Science, the benefits of taking AP GOPO are obvious, and it is obvious that it is something I enjoy. Unfortunately I didn’t do my research to learn that Comparative GOPO isn’t taken for credit at the college I will be going to, but it is still an interesting class.

Since I never took more than two a year, it was never to show off. Just to have a more challenging course in subjects that interest me and scrape off a few credit hours as well. Plus, I feel a lot more prepared for college level work thanks to those classes. I did have a dark moment where I took AP Chem because “maybe my transcript will be more balanced with an AP science.” Horrible mistake, and as I mentioned earlier with Speech and Debate class, correcting it was a blessing.

I want college to be the opposite of my highschool career, instead of catching up to everyone, getting ahead.

I’m taking 7:
AP 2D Drawing
AP Art History
AP U.S. Gov & Politics
AP Physics C
AP Literature
AP Calculus BC
AP European History
Weight Training (haven’t filled P.E. requirement)

Ap physics mech
Ap physics e&m
Ap microecon
Ap macroecon
Ap lit
Ap comp programming
Ap stats or ap physics b

So technically 7…

4

AP Physics B
AP Chem
AP English
AP Economics

7 Courses, 10 Tests.

Macro/Micro
Gov/Comp
Calc BC
Latin: Vergil (and now, with chunks of Julius Caesar!)
World
Lit
Physics C:E/M

oops, double post.

I’m only taking AP Lit right now because I been in honor english since 8th grade. I too love reading but despise writing (we did like 10 essay and I can only seems to get a B on ALL of them). I’m only taking AP Chemistry cause I had and A in Chem and maybe considering Chem Eng. in the future. As for AP Gov and Pol , I had no idea what the class is like but I have an A’s average in most of my Social Studies classes. So far the hardest class on my schedule looks to be Chem (my best subject from sophomore year).

4 AP classes, 6 AP tests, and 2 Dual enrollment classes
Classes:
AP Calc BC
AP Lit
AP Stats
AP Spanish

Self-studies:
AP Psych
AP Comparative Gov.

Dual Enrollment @ college
Arabic I and II
Global Issues
Intro to Poli-Sci.

Only three: AP Chemistry, AP Physics C, an AP Calculus BC. I taking five this year…never again. 0.o

Do you think it’s better to take AP Chemistry in 11th grade or 12th grade?

^^ It doesn’t matter. Though if you think you won’t get an A then maybe senior year is best.
