Sophomore year I took World History and got a 5.
Junior year it was English Language, Chemistry, and US History. Fives on US History and Chemistry, four on English Language.
This year I'm taking Biology, Calc AB, English Literature, Psychology, Macroeconomics, and I was self-studying for Latin Vergil. I may or may not take the Latin Vergil test, though.

Sophomore Year: Stats and US history(class split over 2 years), I got a 4 and a 3 respectively
This Year: Biology, Calculus AB, Comparative Politics and US Government(self-study)

^AB isn't always a prereq for BC. It depends on the school.

By the end of high school, I predict...3-4. French, Psych, Calc, and maybe Chem or Lit.
I'd rather take interesting courses offered by my school than take APs I don't really like.

Frosh - NONE ;(
Soph - Euro (4)
Junior - APUSH, Spanish Lang, Phys B, Art History
Senior - Eng Lit, Phys C (both), Chem, Stats, Calc BC, Econ (both), probably self study another (Japanese?)

Freshman - none
Sophomore - Euro
Junior - US History, Physics B
Senior - English Lit, Bio, Chem, US Government. These classes & Calc are all only offered to seniors, and the schedule is set up so that no one can take more than 4. This year Bio conflicted with both Calc and Govt.

I'll have 7 of the 8 offered at my school, the maximum possible.

You guys need to get a life. Why would you ever want to take so many hard classes, if any at all? I've never understood overachievers.

Oh yeah, I don't plan on taking any at school. My school only has three (U.S. Histroy, Calculus AB, and English). However, I might self-study Studio Art just for ****s and giggles.

Sophmore:
Euro - 5 Junior:
US History
Calculus BC
English Lit
Psych (self-study) Senior:
Statistics
Physics B
Comp Sci A
Spanish
Biology
I might self study for Japanese language (I've been studying Japanese for 2 years pretty intensely) and English language (if I don't get a 5 on the lit)
so 10-12

Sophomore - European History and Physics B
Junior - Spanish Language, English Language, Biology, US History, Macro, and Calculus BC
Senior - Computer Science AB, Chemistry, Government (both), English Literature

Total: 13

I could have taken more, but I decided to take a lighter load senior year.

Freshman aren't allowed to take APs at my school. My school offers US History as a two year course for sophomores and juniors.. so by the time I graduate, here's my count:

Soph: AP USHistory
Junior: AP USHistory (4) , AP Bio (4) , AP Spanish , AP English Language (5)
Senior: AP Enviro, AP Calc AB, AP English Lit, AP Psych

By the time I graduate, I'll have 8 total.

I really don't get how some of you guys take like, 6+ APs a YEAR. How do you do it?! Seriously, how much studying do you do in one night?

I could NEVER do that, especially with the busy work I get/have gotten in some classes plus two sports year round. My school also makes us take these prereqs for some classes (like AP Psych I had to take an intro course); for AP Bio, I had Bio Honors freshman year.

I guess it just depends on how your school is structured.
