How many AP's are you taking?

Here's a list of AP's that I've taken/will take:
AP Calculus
AP Bio
AP English Language Composition
AP Micro
AP Macro
AP US History
AP Environmental Science
AP Stat

Do you think taking 8 AP's would be enough?

In terms of college admissions it’s: AP Available for you to take(total)/AP you take.

My school doesn’t offer many AP classes. I’m taking all the AP classes offered by my school in addition to self-studying most of them.

anyone???

Do you mean this upcoming school year, or our whole high school career? If it’s this upcoming school year, I’m only taking two: AP Biology and AP Chemistry.

I meant our whole high school career. Sorry for the confusion.

8 AP’s are more than enough.

My son took 14, and it did not seem to do him that much good in the admissions process.

Oh okay, then about 4.

Um going to be 10 taken through school with 2 self study.
Sophomore: AP World History and AP Bio
Junior: APUSH, AP Eng Lang, AP Calc AB, and AP Chem
Senior(Upcoming): AP Art History, AP Eng Lit, AP Calc BC, AP Microecon, AP Psych (Self-study), AP US Gov (Self-study)

I learned about APs during sophomore year (yes, I live in a cave lol).
Taken in 10th:
AP bio, AP world history, AP psychology
Taking this year:
AP US govt & politics, AP chem, AP com sci, AP stats, APUSH, AP eng lang, AP calc BC, AP HuG, AP macro/micro economics, APES

Self-studying for all but AP eng lang, calc BC and USH

Well I took 21 total:
 Chemistry
 Biology
 Physics B
 Physics C Mechanics
 Macroeconomics
 Calculus BC
 Comparative Politics
 Government
 World History
 Computer Science
 Language and Composition
 Literature and Composition
 Art History
 European History
 Microeconomics
 Physics C Electricity & Magnetism
 Human Geography
 Environmental Science
 Psychology
 Statistics
 US History

I am trying for 8 this year as a junior, to try to get the National AP Scholar for my app. It will definitely be tough.
Chem (taking)
Spanish Lang (taking)
USH (ss)
Psych (ss)
Human Geo (ss)
Environ Sci (ss)
US Gov (ss)
Comp Gov (ss)

Wow all of you guys have amazing abilities. It seems that most of you are taking at least 10 APs.

Emily556 I’ve just noticed that you have 21 APs! How did you manage to study all those?

Taking 8-9 this year because it wasn’t until after the AP exam dates in my junior year (last year) that I discovered you could self-study AP courses. If I had learned earlier, I would have covered lots more ground :/

In school:
US Gov
Stats
Calc AB
Chem

Self-study:
Calc BC
CompSci
Psych
Eng Lang
Bio (may be dropped later)

Sophomore: AP European History, AP Chemistry, AP Physics C Mechanics, AP Calculus AB

Junior: AP US History, AP English Language, AP Spanish Language, AP Calculus AB, AP Biology, AP Physics C Electricity and Magnetism

Senior: AP English Literature, AP Environmental Science, AP Statistics, AP US Government, AP Art History, AP Psychology

16 total

Taken: AP Government
Taking (senior year): AP Biology, AP English (my school combines Lang/Lit, so I’ll be taking both tests), and AP Psychology.
So by the end of my high school career I’ll have taken 4 AP classes and 5 AP tests. My school only offers 7-8 AP classes and most of them are reserved for seniors.

I took seven AP’s in HS:

Calculus AB, BC - 5’s on each
Stats - 5
Physics C - Mechanics: 5
Chemistry - 3
English Language - 2
English Literature - 2

Didn’t study for/not very good at the English AP’s, and chemistry’s not my forte. Stats was super easy.

I hope I’m not frowned upon for only being an upcoming sophomore & posting here, ahah.

10th grade: APUSH 1 (only AP course offered to sophomores)

11th grade: APUSH 2 (continuation of APUSH sophomore year), AP Calculus AB, AP Latin 3, AP Physics B (or a biology dual enrollment course, I don’t know yet).
AP English courses aren’t offered to juniors.

12th grade: AP English 4 (aka AP English Literature and Composition at my school), AP Calculus BC (or AP Statistics, if I want), AP Latin 4, AP Physics B (if I decide to take the dual enrollment bio course junior year), AP Euro, and AP Psych (if I decide not to choose a different elective).

By the end of my high school career, I would’ve taken 9-10 AP courses (I counted continuing courses as separate courses). The most AP courses one can take at my school is 11.

I’m only an upcoming sophomore so this may change but I have planned to take the following Ap classes.

Sophomore:
Ap chemistry
Ap calculus AB
Ap environmental science
Ap macroeconomics
Ap psychology
Ap computer science (online)
Ap us gov (self-study)
