My school is pretty competitive as well, most students take 3-4, and the top 7 or so will take 10-12. The school offers 17, including the languages, but if one is really proactive and tries hard, you can finish the math early on and self study a couple to bring you up higher.

My school offers three sciences, one history, two math, two languages, one art, two English, and one of the economics + gov (one semester each).

Right now I'm only taking two (APUSH and Lang). I would have taken AP Physics or another AP science but it just didn't work out with my schedule.

Next year, I'm taking 5 at the least, though. (Spanish, Lit, Econ/Gov, Statistics, Biology ... maybe Calculus but probably not.)

Junior: Calc BC 5, US History 5, Physics B 4, English Language 3
Senior: Stats, Psych, Music Theory, English Lit, Biology

I think my school offers every AP except for Latin.

but im also it advanced math, and science.

but next year im taking AP Bio and Pre-AP english.
im pretty nervous for AP Bio. people say its insanely hard.
=[

Wow--

My school doesn't even offer APs until Junior year, and even then they recomend only taking 3. Now I'm getting worried...

How exactly do you "self-study" an AP class?
Would you recomend doing so?

wow my school only offers one AP class before senior year (APUSH) and history has never been my thing. my school is one of the best public schools in the area but it's annoying APs aren't offered till senior year.
