how many APs can you take in one year without getting 2 tests on one day?

or is the system like rigged?

You can take as much as you can I think. This year one of my friends is taking AP US history and AP euro. The test happens to fall on the same day. However my teacher said he doesn't have to take it the same day and there's some make-up day or something.

The problem isn't the same day, it's the same time slot.
There are two times in each day to take an AP exam. Morning and Afternoon. You can take two AP's in one day, as long as there is one in the morning and one in the afternoon. If you have to take two, that end up being in the same time slot, you have to contact your AP Coordinator, who will sign you up for the make-up exam day. This is just a different exam than the original one.

The following tests are on the same time slot:

May 7, French Language and Comp. Government
May 8, Both Comp. Sciences and Language
May 10, Eng. Lit and German Language
May 10, Japanese and French Lit.
May 14, Biology and Music Theory
May 14, Both Physics B and C
May 15, Env. Science and Chemistry
May 16, Italian and Eng. Lang.
May 17, Macroecon and World History
May 18, Human geog. and Spanish Literature
May 18, both Latins

So just figure out the best schedule of AP's that won't correspond within a single time slot. Otherwise, sign up for the make-up day. I don't know much about it, but just talk to your AP Coord.
