I'm the president of the future New World Order. I know, it sucks to be tyrant of the world.

If you guys want to brag about ECs, go to the chances thread. kthx

Being captain/president didn't help me much since I was captain of FCA, the varsity swim team, and president of NHS, and I still got rejected/waitlisted at all the top 40 schools I applied to.

Only one. And I wouldn't want more.

I'm ed-in-chief for the students' newspaper. The fifth year now (I built it up. It's my baby - my everything - mine, mine, mine :-) ..

Imho being captain of numerous clubs isn't that important for many adcoms - it's about being a passionate person with leadership qualities.. and not about being president just for the sake of brushing up your cv...

I'm Co-President of one club. That's all. ^_^

I'm the president of the Shadow Vichy Student Government...we plan to take over when the real student government is overrun.

^ lol pwnt

I'm the president of my four core extra curriculars (which all actually have to do with leadership). From what I've heard, colleges like to see commitment, and spreading oneself too thin can often count against an admissions candidate. Does having a leadership position in so many clubs count against me?

"Shadow Vichy Student Government" - That's funny... :)

Anyway, I'm president of two clubs. I'd put more details but some people google my username and I'd rather not have my identity compromised...

i think it depends on the size of your school.. i have a friend who goes to a school with like 300/400 kids in grades 9-12, and she's pretty much the pres of everything....

i have about 1000 kids at my school.. its not bad

but i love being able to say that i'm President of the National Honor Soceity.. how cool is that? ok, not really.. but still... lol

VP - senior class, key club
Officer - latin
Captain - Cross country... i can't think anymore...

^If i knew you in real life, i would love to be your friend

I've been President of the USA...5 times. Take that FDR/22nd Amendment!

I'm the President of only 2 clubs. But as I'm the only officer who ever does any work, it's hard enough for me to do just those 2! I don't understand how people can do like 7 leadership positions all at once. @_@

Definitely a major learning experience, though.

I'm not pres of any clubs, but I hold secretary in 2, VP in 1, business manager in newspaper, and I run my own singing organization.

None, I'm not a member of any either, they seem really pointless besides their ability to buff up your college app.

vp of 1, sec and prez of 1 and editor for newspaper. co-group leader for another one.

0, but I'm not really involved with anything that has a president or a captain. Except NHS, but what a joke that is.
I would consider myself a leader, however.

I think we all know the caliber of leadership needed to run the majority of school clubs. And I think we also know how well run the clubs are whose president is also the president of 5+ other clubs. Just for the record though, the three clubs I am president of run like butter.

No, I pawned all of them. They're just cowards who are unwilling to use force over their own ppl.
