how many colleges did u apply to?

my friend thought i was crazy when i said i was thinking about applying to 6 colleges. however, i’ve been seeing that a lot of CCers applied to a lot more. how many colleges did u apply to?

I started a similar thread earlier today. You may find some of their responses useful: http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/showthread.php?t=63097

i applied to 6, but i wish i had applied to more

always remember... the more, the merrier!

I applied to 10. What can I say? I love having options.

I applied to 15 schools, 12 privates and 3 publics (UC's). I got fee waivers for each of the colleges, so I saved over $1000. wheee.

I applied to 6, all publics (5 UCs and 1 CSU). I didn't even think about privates because even if I had gotten in, I wouldn't have gone (unless the finaid offer is generous).

no fee waivers, and im int'l so i just about went broke. or my parents did rather. :P

I applied to 10 (Four reaches [Conrell, MIT, Stanford, Yale], three matches [USC, UC Berkeley, UCLA], and three safties [UCSB, UCSD, and Cal Poly]). Somewhat predictably, I was accepted to all of my safeties, all of my matches, one of my reaches, and was waitlisted at another reach school.

I applied to 20 and everyone thought I was crazy when I did that lol. at the end i think it was worth it and I had plenty of options

I applied to 11, but didn't get into my reach schools (HYP).

I applied to 11 as well. 5 acceptances, 3 waitlists, 3 rejections. Both my top choices rejected me, but that wasn't suprising since they were Stanford and Yale. People thought I was crazy, but I still don't regret appling to any of them. I think that you should plan on applying to at least 8 if you want to attend a top school.

D applied to 15, all reaches for most people (all accepted, but an EA deferral had us worried). Her only match/safety schools were the women's colleges. If you are shooting for high reaches, numbers MAY help you. If your stats are not in the mid to upper ranges for these schools, please find some true match/safeties to add to your list. We have had several cases this year in the CC family where excellent students were shut out of all of their schools.

I applied to 4 and was accepted to 4. But they were all match/safety schools-UMiami, UNC-chap.hill, UMaryland-CP, UFlorida

:] I'll take my chances. I'm going to apply to only 3. Hehehe wish me luck. xP

7 Schools

Private Schools: Stanford, Georgetown, Washington and Lee
Public Schools: Berkeley, UCLA, UCSD, UCR

7:
2 private
1 public out of state
4 in state
ended up at an out of state private =)

I applied to just Kent State and got in as a transfer.

7
1 public
5 private
1 intl (Canada)

6 acceptances --1 waitlist pending

applied to 9 but i wish i had appllied to more reach schools and less match schools b/c i had gotten into all of my match schools.

fee waiver?
