So I get free lunch and have taken the SAT twice with a fee waiver, but my question is about the college application fee waivers.
I heard that I am eligible for 4 college fee waivers in NACAC and yet also for 4 fee waivers with the CollegeBoard fee waiver service. Are these cumulative? In other words, am I eligible for a total of 8 fee waivers? Or are they the same thing and I can request only up to 4 fee waivers?

Thanks for your patience and feedback.

Yes. However, your counselor may give you more than 4 NACAC fee waivers, But if s/he follows the NACAC recommendation of 4 waivers, then that is all you will get. There are schools that will waive their fee if you file on line.

Keep in mind that applying for college is simply not application fees. You will have to pay the profile fee, the fee to release scores to additional schools. You would be surprised how fast the $ adds up

I have already paid to have the SAT score sent to all schools. I’m just wondering, what is this profile fee you are talking about though? How much is it and what is its purpose??

Check the financial aid section of the schools where you are applying. They will tell you if yu need the FAFSA and the CSS profile, which is used to give institutional aid. If your school requires the profile, the first report is $25 and then there is a $16 fee for each additional school.
