<p>Yeah, I've really got to wonder what you're cutting out of your day in order to fit in all this test prep. Won't colleges also value, say, a high GPA, or extracurriculars? I didn't prep at all for ACTs or SATs, got a 1490 and 35. I'll admit it was lucky, but I wouldn't regret the time I spent on school and ECs rather than prepping, even if I'd gotten lower scores. Besides, I'd argue that developing critical thinking skills in AP economics and calc, and literary analysis in AP English Lit, probably helped me as much on the ACTs as any Barron's review book, and are certainly more useful in life and college. Could I do higher on the SATs if I took them again as a senior (I was a sophomore the first time)? Possibly. Am I losing sleep over it? No way.</p>
