<p>Yes I do realize that, but everthing else was really good, plus, noone in saudi gets 2000, and she was like well yeah we are expecting more qualified saudis to apply this year. Whatever, I really don't care anymore about it.</p>
<p>I guess they do vary standards by region. A kid in China can't be expected to have stellar ECs - the whole education regime is skewed against those kind of non-academic things.</p>
<p>u know, it's weird....I always thought colleges would love to have Arabs in their institute! because we are underrepresented minorities....especially Arab women. I must say to anyone who is stating their ethnicity: just tell the truth.</p>
<p>i think the admissions process should be race-blind AND need-blind. i understand that not many saudis get 2000 but many competitive applicants over here DO and why shouldnt we get that spot and you should, when we have the same (or better) ECs/gpa?</p>
