How many nominations can congressmen give out for each of their districts?

Each Representative from the House of Representatives is alloted 5 slots at each Service Academy (execpt Coast Guard) for their constitutants. When one of their constituants graduates, it creates a vacancy. For each vacancy they are permitted to nominate 10 candidates.

If one of their appointees leaves an academy, an extra slate is created for the next year. That's how some MOC's are able to nominate more than 10 applicants.

I recently received letters stating that I have been nominated for the Military Academy by my Congressman and I have also been triple qualified.

I understand that my Congressman has the option of placing me in a certain position within his nomination list. Is there any way I can find out what position I have been placed in? Also, is there any way I can find out how many nominations my congressman has available to him this year?

You need to find out first if your congress-person ranks them at all. Most members of congress submit unranked slates (no principal nomination) and allow the academy to choose the best qualified candidate (the academy prefers this). Calling their office can clear these questions up for you if they are not answered on their website.
