yesterday was my first day of school, and i got homework in 3 classes (spanish 3, physics, and history). idk why, but my friends were complaining that this was too much to come back to :P how many of you got hw/how much was it?

I had Anthropology reading, spanish, a chapter outline of Chem, active reading in AP english, a pre-calc packet (115 problems) and then 60 problems of Calc, and we had to make a world map and 60 vocab terms in AP World.

It took me like 6 hours to do. It sucked. None of my friends had homework.

I got homework on the first day but it wasnt too bad, just some physics problems, the second day was horrible though, I had an Essay due the next day in English, Trig hw, more Physics hw, and some reading for APUSH

First day was just minor stuff for english honors...nothing too much.

Second and third day got pretty bad though.

I had to study for two major tests (AP English and AP USH), some precal, a letter to write for English, and that's about it. Plus signing stuff and getting materials for some classes.

My first day was pretty ridiculous. I had an essay for AP Lang, about 70 problems for PreCalc, an essay for AP French, and half a chapter to read for AP Chem. I'm glad to say I haven't had another day like it since school started.

Ehh not really, but after the first day, yes.

I didn't get any the first WEEK. :)

i am in a two year sports medicine class, and this is the second year. on the first day, he gave us a test, our final from last year, and its going in the gradebook. :(. basically everyone failed. i didnt get homework though.

Getting homework on the first day is weird???

I got about 2-3 hours the first night, and considered that light (as did everyone else in my school).

I always get homework on the first day. I started Wednesday, and every Wednesday at my school is a half-day and I only had homework in two classes. I finished math in maybe 20 mins but English took 2 1/2 hours. Analyzing isn't quite my forte.

I get roughly 3 hours a night now. Kind of a jump from last year (sophomore, now junior). Lots of it AP Gov.

All I got for homework in my first three days of school were 2 AP Calc worksheets, a grammar exercise for AP Lang, and ~10 Bio questions. All of it is due Mon/Tues next week. :)

ME!! And my first day was 3 weeks ago :(

I've gotten used to the enhanced workload, but one class is still killing me. AP World is definetely not a 'fluff' class at our school.

Most of it was that annoying sign paper stuff, but I also had some tests to study for and essays to do. Oh and some busy work for Algebra 2.

I always get homework on the first day, and I go to a school with no AP or honors. I think it's pretty normal. Actually, the first three days were some of the heaviest homework nights I've ever had. I had about 2 hours each night. I've also never worked a job during school before, so I'm having to quickly learn some time management skills. I'm starting to plan my daily schedules two weeks in advance to accommodate everything. And do think I have 2 more ECs starting up in a few weeks that I don't have now.... I have a feeling that exam week won't be fun.

First day... i probably got 3 hours. freshman.

oh well, at that point most clubs hadn't started yet.

I'm a junior that is in the IB program, and I had homework in all of my classes on the first day of school.

I started nearly a month ago (Mid term is wednesday :S)
I don't think I got hw the actual first day because it was only a 1/2 day and we didn't have books or anything then. (My school isn't playing on it's A Game) I may have had an English essay to write though, or it was the next day... The first full day I had it in like at least 2 classes though.. Then it escalated.

umm, let's see

APUSH: 1 page Essay (not a big deal)
AP Chemistry: Worksheet on Sig. Figs. and density
