<p>The USAMO makes the SAT seem like it's testing at the 1st grade math level.</p>
<p>Yes, but the USAMO is not recognized as a college admissions test (as much as I wish it were...). Even the AMC 12 makes the SAT look like a joke.</p>
<p>This is a slight tangent, but what's great about the USAMO is that you don't need a lot of knowledge to do well, only precalculus mathematics, so it really is a problem-solving test. The SAT, on the other hand, thinks it is making it's math section better by adding more material, rather than more depth.</p>
