What percent of 1600s do they take?

Hey guys,
I know this question has been answered for past years in other threads. But does anyone know the CURRENT (or fairly current) numbers for what percent of perfect SAT scorers Princeton accepts a) Early and/or b) Regular?

Or if you have other pertinent info besides numbers, that'd be great too...

Thanks!

I believe its a national low of 37%. This is what I read on another post...so dont trust it completely.

Harvard: 53%
Stanford: 66%
Duke 100%

That's so weird! A couple years ago Princeton had really high numbers- - something like 97% ED 1600s were accepted.

i dont believe its 97%. HYP are infamous for rejecting 1600s

Right--but ED? I read in another forum something about Princeton's taking a LOT of 1600 scorers early.

fingers crossed...

did u get a 1600? haha they dont reject applicants because they got 1600

1600s often dont have really anything else. a lotta students believe that since they got a 1600 they will get in anywhere and just apply to random schools for the hell of it. they dont have the grades nor the ECs

if u have a 1600 but u also have excellent grades/power ECs/everything else u need u will be fine....tsunami got in ED with a 1600 cuz he had everything. as long as u arent one of those 1600 kids that have a blank resume =)

There was only one kid from my school with a 1600 (and he got it in a single sitting, making him eligible for the Presidential Scholar Award). He was deferred from Princeton ED. A 1600 by itself is meaningless. Colleges, especially the elite institutions, are placing less emphasis on the SAT I and more emphasis on the intangibles (essays, recs, EC's). Harvard claims to reject more than two-thirds of its applicants with 1600's. I'm sure that Princeton is very similar.

yeah, I feel strange whenever people at my school ask a 1600 student which one he'll choose if they both accept him: Caltech or Stanford, when he doesn't have any EC's whatsoever other than the ubiquitous NHS. His arrogance in assuming that one MUST accept him is disturbing.

Actually, hao, he's an eagle scout, which is a major EC.

Also, 2 years ago a 1600 Princeton EDer from our school didnt get in. He eventually went to Columbia.

it's not a guarantee silmon...they're acting as if it were, which is really presumptuous. and not to belittle in any way his eagle scout accomplishment, it was not spanning his entire high school career, it was the beginning of freshmen year and then it was over.

and considering the fact that i was actually in the same classroom as seth when he announced his decision to go to columbia, it's kind of weird that you would tell me that.

actually, that part was more addressed to the topic than to you, cause i know you know about him.

haha u two are funny =P

oh, you should see us at school...we're a riot...a regular 3 ring circus. ;)

Our 1600 didnt get into HYP. He went to Brown.

1 of my school's 1600's got into Yale EA, the other was deferred....

I have a 1600. Woe is me! :p

lol, sucharita, :), I have much less

oh and did ya get deferred? like me?
HYP is going to take so much pride in telling the 2010 kids that they rejected me :D

well if i was in the adcom's office, id surely reject you sucha :p forget about deferring. id accept all the students with 1350-1590.

jk ;)

lol cops you lookin for another ban/
