Hey guys, How many practice tests should I take, I have access to the CB online course, and also have the blue Book. I also have Barrons for the new SAT which provides 6 'model' tests. But i dont know if i should concentrate on just taking the 14 tests of the CB (for my June test) and have a little more time to review them or those 14 along with the 6 of Barrons but be a little strict on time, although i can still take one test everyday. Will that be pushing it? What way should I do.Should I do one section and then review it, and continue the next section or do the entire test and then review it. Which one will be more productive?

Also i am not good when it comes to the SATs, and my critical readings are horrible since i am hispanic.
but these are my score ranges from previous practice tests.
CR:480-540
Math:570-650
Writing:580-720

any help would be apreciated
also GL to the May testakers =]

It seems you need to buck up in all 3 sections.

I just gave the May SAT today (Its the last time-phew) but Im expecting 2000 / 2100 + so my advice may be not complete or as good as the others on this forum may provide :(

For math, you need to PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE only after you've covered all the concepts (which shouldn't take much time). You can choose how you want to practice but the 14tests you mentioned are more/less sufficient I guess.

CR is my WORST section - all advice I can give is that the answer is FROM the passage; and for sentence completions and words you dont know - VOCAB is NEEDED sorely. For me, I sat with all my practice Tests and wrote down every single word from the sentence completions that I didn't know. I used the Internet to find the meanings etc and wrote sentences on them. CR Techniques often differ from person / person.

Writing is pretty good once you get the hang of 5/6 rules - e.g. singular with singular plural with plural. Learn all the rules and then PRACTICE like Math. There isn't much to Writing that can't be tackled.
For the Essay, I stuck to a format - Intro (within intro mention 3 examples going to be used), discuss 3 examples (try to frame it around a. Personal b. Political/Arts/Current News c. General Example.) . Even try to include examples that are a bit subtle (i.e. meaning is not very clear). The point is to write as much as you can in 25 minutes. Spend 5 mins for Intro and Planning of Essay, 15/17 mins for the main content and remaining time for the Conclusion.

Best of Luck!!

thanks, cmon guys..anything
