how many single rooms are there in Hitchcock Hall?

I'm going to attend UChicago next fall and thinking about choosing Hitchcock as my number one choice (I got in early action, so I guess my chances are better for getting in). I stayed at Hitchcock as a prospie, and I really liked the place, even better than Snell. I know incoming first-years only get doubles in Hitchcock, but I'm wondering how many single rooms are there in Hitchcock (cause I'm hoping to get a single when I become a second-year), and how many second-years have singles.

My child is now a third year and after sharing a room in Hitchcock her first year, she has had really nice singles since then. I think that pretty much everyone gets a single after the first year.

I want to get a single after my first-year, but I wasn’t sure if there were enough singles for the rising first-years.

You get a higher chance of getting the dorm you want only based upon when you sent the housing information in. If you were EA but didn’t send it in until May 1 you would be at the bottom of the lottery for rooms.

I met a prospie who is in Hitchcock who applied EA but replied in spring. I believe EA admits have priority, but I’m more interested in the room types and quantity of the dorm.
