How many students are housed in triples?

I would love to hear from some current students regarding their housing. How many of you or your friends are housed in triples? If you are in a triple, is this a big deal or not? Do you feel like you have enough space? Do you think with the addition of the new residence hall, there will be fewer triples on campus?

My information is based on last year. UT was on the top of my daughter’s list. She got presidential scholarship, honors, honors housing and was given another $5k to be a business major. We liked the school a lot. Although it’s considered a lower tier school I think for kids that want to work they can find opportunities at this school. We were down for our second school visit last year and did our housing forms while there. We were told that ALL housing for this past year was going to be triples. Honors included. That being said, the rooms are spacious so if you get decent room mates you should be fine. My daugher in the end did not want to be so far from home, (NJ) Needless to say we were thrilled when she was accepted to the University of Delaware’s business school. She LOVES it there and opportunities abound there. That being said, from a rooming perspective even the triples at UT have more room than the freshman doubles at UD. Hopefully this year the new dorms at both locations will be done and everyone will be able to spread out a bit! lol!

Also a friend’s daughter is at UT this year in a triple but based on the pictures it looks roomy.
