How many teacher recommendations am I allowed to send?

<p>I'm asking in regard to these colleges:</p>

<p>Harvard U
Cornell U
Stanford U
Columbia U
Duke U
Penn </p>

<p>They are all under the common application, which requires two teacher recommendations. I really want to send three recommendations (each teacher knows a different aspect of my academics/aspirations and will add something to make my overall application stronger... it's not just "this kid is great, blah, blah, blah...”). So, do these colleges accept three recommendations, even though common app only provides two? I can't find the info anywhere on their websites so anyone who knows anything, please respond!! Thanks :)</p>

<p>None of those prohibit extra recs, Stanford does say you can submit one extra one. Since not prohibited, you can send, worst that can happen is that they will look at only two.</p>
