Like the title state, how many teacher recommendations are required for Northwestern University. I've been told that two are required, one from either an English or social studies teacher and one from a math or science teacher. I have also been told that only one is required. Can anyone please clarify this for me? Thanks

Why not check the NWU website? Probably something you should get accustomed to…

I did but I couldn’t find it. Trust me, I did that first before doing this. I’ve done this with every other college I wanted to apply to and I found out (That’s 6 others not just one or two). I just can’t seem to find it on NU’s site.

From the paper application part of Northwestern’s website:

Teacher Evaluation (pages TE-1–2)
Northwestern requires one Teacher Evaluation. You may photocopy the form in this booklet if you wish to have more than one teacher submit an evaluation. Faxes are accepted.

After completing all the relevant questions below, give this form to a teacher who has taught you an academic subject (for example, English, foreign language, math, science, or social studies). If applying via mail, please also give that teacher stamped envelopes.

Secondary School Report (pages SR-1–2)
After filling out your portion of the School Report, give the form to your guidance counselor to complete and submit to Northwestern. Photocopies and faxes of the School Report are accepted; however, your school must also send in an original copy of your transcript for your file.

I am so confused now. Are these forms needed if I am applying via the CommonApp?
