How many times should I take the SAT II Subject Tests?

I'm a rising senior. I've only taken the SAT twice, once in March and once in June. I haven't taken any Subject Tests yet. I'm planning on taking MATH I and Literature in October. However, I am not sure if I should retake the same tests again in December. I'm taking the SAT again in November, but I'm not sure if three times is enough for me. My scores from March are Critical Reading - 600, Math - 610, Writing - 710. (I'm worried if January is too late to take anything and send my application on time?)

(I'm not aiming for Ivy League or UC.)

How many times should I take the SAT II Subject Tests?

Very few schools require subject tests. This fall you should know what your final list of schools is. Plus you’ll know what your subject scores are. At that time you can decide if you want to retake.

To answer your question, one sitting could be enough.
Or, take the ACT. It might be better for you.

Isn’t december too late?

People i know usually take the SAT 2 once because it’s easier to score what you want compared to SAT 1
