How many very high SSAT scorers are rejected?

HA – fif thinks he remembers you. Short kid with glasses and a bad haircut, right?
Do you still have that messenger bag with the ZZ Top patch on it?

Who would have thought that you would grow up to invent the Bunkel Index and that fif would emerge with the #1 prep school indicator, the esteemed WBTY Indices. Small world indeed.

excuse me, I got a 99 percentile but I am a swimmer and such…

@swimmergirl3, look up the word hubris.

GMTson also had SSAT score like u, athlete, high profile ECs, steller grades/recs, exotic cultural background (not just another applicant from Massachusetts, like u) and full pay.

He still got rejected.

Agree GMT. Plus, swimmergirl, your self-regard is not attractive, not to mention that you’ve essentially identified yourself to AO’s who may be following.

Let’s remember that swimmergirl3 is probably a 13 year old and take it easy on her. It’s hard to know if her “excuse me” is of the haughty type or humble type. From looking at her post history it appears that she is applying to an appropriate range of schools.

You’re right, Sue. Swimmer, my apologies.

I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to come off as haughty. THe fact that people were calling 99 percentiles “dweebs and nerds” really bugged me.

swimmergirl, sorry for being so harsh on you. It is hard to “hear” the tone of writing.

BS is the right place for you. A 99percentile score will garner respect and admiration from your classmates, not scorn for being a nerd. Good luck to you, but you probably don’t need it-- you’ve got a very attractive CV.
