How much are you guys in/gonna be in debt?

I just need to know, cuz right now I'm looking at 75k over four years...

is that alot?

$10 dolla

actually, nothing, because my family is beneath the no-loans threshold for the college I'm attending...

and that's an obscene amount of debt for undergrad school... you do realize that'll take you a decade or more to pay that off, right?

http://www.finaid.org/calculators/loanpayments.phtml

As a parent, I think $75K is a lot of money. You can plug some numbers into this payment calculator and see what your monthly payment will be, and what your suggested income would be. (Over ten years, your payment is going to be $863.10 per month, which is a lot to me. Your suggested salary to support such payments is between $69K and $103K)

Try the calculator out, as it kind of puts things in perspective.

Unfortunately, guglie, that's pretty common.
I'll probably be in the $50k range.

For undergrad, $0, because my mom is against loans.. but a lot of my current classmates will have pulled out some by then. She was lecturing me about numbers like those.

i'm thinking 50-60K in loans. the only thing i wonder about is whether 50-60K 10 years from now will be like what 10-20 K is to us now. to me 10-20K is not a lot.

$2600. It's a stafford loan and the only one I'll get for all four years. I'm going to try and pay it off really fast.

Im gonna be 15-25k in debt after 4 years... then med or grad schools comes along and kills me

I'm going to be up there with you guys in the 50k+ range. Don't worry though, I have a plan, and it involves winning the lottery or the Publisher's Clearing House. Just kidding.

I'll be in dept 16K, but i think i can pay it off right away if i do it right

10k or so, not that much to pay off.

None right now. Maybe a couple grand by the end of undergrad, but probably no more than 5k. Yet another reason I'm eternally grateful to have a very good state school in my home state. We'll see what happens with grad school

I have maybe $2K out, but I'm paying it off this summer. I'm not taking any more out after this since I am commuting now and don't have room and board to pay anymore. This way I'll still have about $20K in bonds so I can use them on summer courses with the remainder going into a savings account for car repair and part of a down payment on a house once I get my diploma and a job.

$0 (10 chars)

probably about 40k for me.

probably $15-20,000 after undergrad....manageable....but then 4 years of vet school will add on almost another 80k to that

Hooray for $100,000 in debt!!!!

Probably something like $8,000, if any at all. Princeton financial aid is no loans.

$166,000 (after 5 years) ... thats what hapens when your parents can't actually pay any of the EFC amount.

probably around 50k

0 YAY for scholarships. If I win a scholarship for grad school too hmm that's like so good!
